Stephanie Vasquez is a multimedia artist born in Costa Rica who relocated at a young age to New York. Her passion for technology started at an early age, learning multiple computer languages by the age of twelve. Her field of study was New Media and Visuals Art at SUNY Purchase College, where she spent five years of undergrad.

Today, her work is inspired by social movements and her multicultural background. Feminism is the strongest subject projected in her artwork. Her installations display beautiful colors with a very abstract turn, in which she takes advantage of the psychological theory of the mind: subconscious, conscious and unconscious to her benefit, a technique she borrows from her favorite surrealist artists.

Stephanie breaks the mold of traditional art by putting her new media flare into every piece she does. Each piece she creates questions the viewer's beliefs and society's standards by challenging the stigma of being a Latina.
